Ochre, yellow, red as well as blue to deep black colour shades generously fill the different fields of the compositions. The surfaces of these landscape parts are sometimes curved and dynamic, sometimes straight and clear. All compositions reflect different representations of natural landscapes including; sky, horizon, mountains and water. The paintings of the Mindscapes series are reminiscent of Death Valley National Park, Zion National Park or Malibu.
The production process turned out to be very intuitive. The artist immersed himself in his memories and began to draw and paint these visions, which were supplemented by new associations. He paused and lived with these images for a while until he let them out in shapes and colour. It started with sketches and quickly became colorful canvases, to end up in controlled minimalistic compositions. It is all about the right amount of intuition and mastery.
