The 1976 born artist Jorgen lives and works in the South of France.
The artist started off his artistic path with graffiti writing, a passion that he pursued for 20 years. In the early 2000s he decided to follow his passion for painting. The self-taught artist confronted himself with art history as well as contemporary art. “I felt the need to confront myself with painting and I slowly switched to the world of the studio and galleries through figurative art”, Jorgen describes the drive that led him into the art industry. He would not stop there, in 2019 he felt the urge to change his visual language and give more space to the energy of his graffiti past that he has always carried with him. The new chapter of Jorgen Andreas 76 began.
Jorgen seeks to freely express his past experiences on canvas. Therefore, he is exploring his subconscious and lets his energy freely flow on the canvas through color, form and gesture, resulting in the abstract paintings presented by Kolly Gallery. In addition to his passion for painting on canvas, Jorgen has experimented with additional media, such as digital art, paper and walls. With Kolly Gallery Jorgen starts off his path in the world of graffiti art galleries and we are full of expectations to see where else the road will lead him!
