KORALIE
22.03.2021 – 27.03.2021
HEARTBEAT
Entering the world of Koralie is like entering a unique sensation of nature on planet earth where reality and fiction blend together. Her fine and thoughtful art works are presented in the new Heartbeat exhibition from 22nd to 27th March 2021 at Kolly Gallery Zurich.
Two worlds coexisting and separated by a fine horizon. Koralie’s art works entitled Floating Gardens represent terrestrial world on the surface and the marine world in the depths of the oceans, but at any moment the worlds can tip over. The worlds suddenly tilt upside down as if an iceberg that turns over and as if nature reclaims its rights. Indeed, the unique art works can be hung in the desired direction.
One part of the composition that Koralie attributes to the terrestrial world contains soil, mountains, landscapes and the sky. The other half attributed to marine includes motifs the submarine, like icebergs, related plants and the ocean. Both, terrestrial and marine, worlds are contrasting but at the same time complementing each other and are a precious part of the planet and inseparable to the existence on earth. In Koralie’s research for this series she found various articles attributing organs to the planet earth. They ascribes the heart to the green vegetation as well as soil and see the ocean as the blue lungs of the earth.
