Serge Lowrider
Switzerland
Serge ‚Lowrider‘ Nidegger is a Swiss artist born in 1972 who lives and works in Fribourg (CH).
At the age of only eight years old he printed his first stickers – the start of the screen printing and sign painting master’s career. He has developed his craft by doing an apprenticeship in the rules of the trade, a passion that continues to this day. In the year 2000 he opened the Lowrider printing studio, which still produces own goods as the LOWRIDER TEESHIRT printed t-shirts, accessories and fine art prints to which numerous of the Kolly Gallery prints belong. Serge Lowrider’s oeuvre combines traditional sign painting, unique experience in typography and calligraphy with intense colors and computer free craftsmanship from the 60’s and 70’s with inspirations from every day life collected in his sketchbook.
Serge Lowrider’s meticulous work has long attracted the attention of international brands and connoisseurs. His works have predominantly been exhibited in Europe and the United States. He collaborates with sport brands, festivals and decorates the facilities of many international companies with his murals. Through workshops he passes on his craft to further generations.
