Translating this concept on a visual level this results in an expressive net of lines. Once it is composed by a straight and clean line, once its scruffy drips and sometimes its wild color splashes. But the lines always remain monochrome. As unique as the various line textures, are the working materials of the artist, such as ink, brush and watering sprayers. The paintings contain different patterns of net fragments and line textures that come together to form an abstract ensemble. These abstract ensembles represent the past emotions and experiences that have been layered and stored in the body. Last but not least, the bold omnipresent character – the giant staring monster – is represented in different variations.
In Solomosty’s artistic practice the streets represent the place where he discovered a unique form of art as well as a kind of playground where he dares new techniques, tools and ideas without any rules. Freedom in the streets means a lot to him. Whereas in the studio he reflects and digests what he just experienced in the streets and tries to implement and manifest it his studio-based paintings.
His paintings radiate the urban harshness and the rough impact of the streets! They convince with a unique „in your face“ attitude!
