THE SHAPE OF MATTER

In 2016 SupaKitch began to create his own resin surfaces embellished with diverse motives, which reminiscent the marbling of the ocean and the texture of elements. He highlights details with gold leaf to enhance the reflections of the sun in the water. With this technique, borrowed from the manufacture of surfboards, he likes to surprise himself by leaving room for a creative coincidence. Layers of fiberglass cloth, polyester resin with pigments and acrylic paint topped by gold leaf are components of the new canvases. The surface becomes an exciting object for SupaKitch, that he enjoys remodeling as well as giving a rhythm to the composition of the frozen movements caused by the resin.

SupaKitch doesn’t limit his ideas to one medium, in fact canvas, tinted resin, gold leaf, marble, brass, ink on paper and tattoos are part of his divers creative manifestations. The unique visual features are more precise, delicate and vigorous than ever. Adding abstracted forms and aesthetics from the natural elements such as, water, light, stone or others – in his newest creative expressions – the invisible becomes visible!
