Raphaël Demierre

VISUAL COMMUNICATION

Raphaël Demierre first discovered graffiti expressions in his teenage years, when he was involved in the hip-hop movement. For more than a decade he is actively practicing graffiti and follows the graffiti universe around the globe. He founded the collective LES UNS, which connects about fifty multi disciplinary participants all over Switzerland.

Graffiti has no rules and few
limits.

Raphaël studied visual communication and multimedia design at Eikon in Fribourg. As a multimedia specialist he currently works for Vingtneuf Degres as well as Kolly Gallery. He believes that great visual content brings power to communication. Over time he developed a strong interest for strategic communication on a visual level. In addition to his work in the advertising and
communications sector he is seeking his very own path as an artist. In his practice he is using graffiti on a visual as well as conceptual level.. His independent publications in the field of visual communication and art include Communications v.1 (2018), Transatlantique (2019), What’s up Internet (2019), Art Histories (2020) and Happy Switzerland (2021).
