Gaspare Louane, was born in 1988 in Fribourg. Currently his is living in Bern and working in both Fribourg and Zurich.
In his teenage years he found expression through rap in the hip-hop movement. He is one of the founding members of the FPZ («Free Painterz») crew who eventually evolved to the collective LES UNS, which brings together about fifty participants, among others: rappers, graffiti artists, djs and break-dancers from all over Switzerland. They are united under the motto “peace, love, unity and fun“. Meanwhile Louane studied visual communication and multimedia design at Eikon in Fribourg. Beside of his artistic practice he is working in the advertising and communications sector. On a daily base he is creating visual campaigns and communication concepts.
2010-2015 were important years for Louane’s own visual language, which shaped his former artistic identity and pseudonym „Jack Little“ who developed into Gaspare Louane. He developed a unique graffiti style that makes his pieces very intriguing. This his when he developed his intricate and interlaced letters based style as well as the cartoon-like animal illustrations.
Since 2016, Louane was invited to participate in several exhibitions and art fairs in Europe. In 2017, he was commissioned to paint a monumental mural in Munich. In Summer 2018 he got a huge opportunity to created a record mural of more than 30m2 height, entitled Bern City Streets Love, which was presented as part of the exhibition Sandwich Between Walls at the Attisholz Kultur area in Solothurn (Switzerland) then in the same year, he was invited to a group exhibition entitled Methodology at Martinez Gallery in New York. Moreover, he was able to present his pieces at his former school Eikon in November 2018 and in January 2019 he presented his most recent art works at Kolly Gallery.
