Switzerland
Gaspard Louane (b. 1988) currently lives and works in Fribourg, Switzerland, where he develops his practice as a mural artist and painter.
His artistic path finds its early roots in hip-hop culture, which shaped his teenage years and fueled his interest in rap and visual expression. He is one of the founding members of the Swiss hip-hop collective LES UNS.
He studied visual communication and multimedia design at eikon in Fribourg. Between 2010 and 2015, he developed his artistic universe under the pseudonym “Jack Little”, before evolving towards his current identity as Gaspard Louane, while progressively moving closer to graffiti and mural art.
Since 2018, his work has been presented in gallery exhibitions across the world, including New York, Seoul, Paris, Colmar, Geneva and Zurich. Alongside his studio practice, he has created numerous large-scale murals, some reaching over 27 meters in height. He is also actively involved in the development of the Art Valais Open Air Museum project, which aims to become one of the largest open-air urban art museums in Valais. To date, over one hundred murals have been created within this initiative by various artists, to which he regularly contributes.
